1075 Hendricks Avenue

2009 / Jacksonville, FL

1075 Hendricks Avenue, located in the San Marco area of Jacksonville, Florida is a three-story, mixed-use development consisting of a 10,000 square foot restaurant on the first floor and 18,000 square feet of leasable office space on the second and third floors.  The upscale restaurant will offer 140 seats, a full-service bar, and outdoor patio seating separated from the main dining room by large operable windows.  The entry piece, which uses minimal window framing, will feature exterior wood panels that create a modern floating canopy and offer views of the bar and lounge.  1075 Hendricks is designed using glazed concrete units with steel windows, giving the building an urban industrial feel.  The north, south, and west exterior walls of the building will include living walls—a sustainable element that reduces the overall temperature of the building which in turn reduces energy consumption.  The leasable office space will have a separate 3 story glass entry lobby.  Large steel windows and 3rd floor balconies with views of downtown Jacksonville create a unique office environment.  1075 Hendricks is expected to be completed in late 2010.
